... of the Life-Giver; wash [me] again in the basin, if not with graces, then with tears. By the death of Thee the Immortal, quicken my dead soul; by [Thy] burial in the new tomb, bring up [me who am] buried in sins; by [Thy] descending into the lowest pit, raise [me] up from the pit of sins; by Thy dwelling in the shadow of death, enlighten me also in spirit. My heart cries out to Thee, O Word who [art] with the Father from the beginning, who willingly for the sake of mankind didst endure all this in the flesh; make audible to me the voice of Thy calling into Thy kingdom, to bless Thee ever unto eternity there among the assembly of the firstborn.
