"Father!" He cried out; He willingly commended His spirit to the Father, [and] offered the souls of men unto the same. The earth was shaken to [its] foundations, and the veil was torn in the midst; the rocks split asunder within themselves, and the tombs of death were opened. Through [these] wonders it is proclaimed: God crucified in the flesh for my sake! In our nature He dies, [yet] is confessed [as] immortal God. By the twin-flowing fountains of His side His Church is established; by the water she is cleansed, the blood she drinks, [and] she glorifies the Son with the Father.
