Fourth Psalm, Chapter 78 [79].

[Psalm verses:] "O God, [the] heathen are entered..." [Ps. 78:1] "Thou that shepherdest..." [Ps. 79:1] "Rejoice unto God..." [Ps. 80:1] [Verse/Response:] Were they cast off from Thy hand? We are the people and the sheep of Thy pasture. [RUBRIC:] Repeat three times, but say the last [repetition] in a high voice. [Hymn / *Šarakan*:] Ray of glory of the Father, who according to human nature wast in agony in the night [and] didst pray to the Father in heaven: shine forth upon us Thy heavenly light, and dispel the fear of the evil one; may the members of our souls and body be pierced with Thy holy fear. Judas having approached, who was to betray [Thee], together with the company of the Pharisees; they fell like the prostrate who shall never rise. Judas, kissing deceitfully, giving a sign of death, betrays Him in return for love, repaying evil for good. Then Peter, out of tender affection of love, cut off with a sword the right ear of the servant named Malchus, who did not listen to his Lord; but our Lord swiftly [touching] the ear...
