The deceitful one, eating with the Teacher, multiplied [his] treachery. The Light spoke beseechingly to the darkened one for [his] conversion: “One of you, brethren,” He said, “is to betray Me unto death.” Peter, having heard that, was dismayed, and motioned to John to ask who the betrayer of the Teacher might be.
