[The] fox went, entered [the] mill, Lifted [his] paws, danced plenty. Hurrah, fox! Mister fox! In [all the] world there is none like you! He ground a *kot* and a half of millet, Took that too upon [his] back, [and] went [away]. [The] fox ate the village hens, [And] took to flight [toward] the upper threshing-floors. [The] fox lay upon [his] furry side, Placed [his] paws upon the white earth. I said: let us catch marten and fox, [So that] in autumn I may wed my Ohanēs. [Furs] fetched no price as in the former year— [And so] my Ohanēs remained a bachelor.
