Take dried rose [petals], one handful; frankincense and mastic, a half handful each; cinnamon and nutmeg, two *msxal*s each; mix them together and pound [them] somewhat coarsely. Then take well-kindled (well-stoked) fire, place [it] into a bowl, cast [some] of this remedy upon it, make smoke, and carry [it] all about every part of the house.

Take the yolk of one fresh egg, olive oil, and honey, one spoonful of each; mix [them] together in a cup and use [it] as has been directed.

Take six *miskal*s each of white mastic and yellow beeswax, [and] two spoons of olive oil; place [them] in a vessel and melt [them] over a gentle fire. When it is melted, take [it] off [the fire] and stir [it] with a [wooden] stick. Then spread [it] upon linen cloth and apply [it] to the place indicated.
