four cups of [boiled] water; after straining, wet a piece of coarse woolen cloth or broadcloth therein and place [it] upon the belly, very warm, as has been said, and change [it] often, lest it grow cold. Or take wormwood and mint, two handfuls of each, pour four cups of water over them, bring [the mixture] to a single boil and strain; mix one cup of wine into it, and apply [it] in that same manner, very warm.

NUMBER 72:

Take unsalted butter and finely pounded chamomile, four *mskhal*s, beat [them] well together, spread upon a cloth, and apply [it].

Number 73:

Take crushed sal ammoniac [*anushadr*]—about the size of a chickpea—[and] dissolve [it] in a spoonful of water; then wet a feather or your finger in this medicine, and rub [it] wherever it hurts.

Number 76:

Take two grains’ weight [*tsorenak'ash*] of zinc *akjasb* [white vitriol], dissolve [it] in two spoonfuls of water, and mix into it two spoonfuls of honey, and give [it] to the child to drink, four times a day, one small teaspoonful at a time.
