չինելուց քրտինք ըլի եկած, չ'պիտի իսկոյն սաստիկ սառը ջուր խմեն, այլ քիչ քիչ միջոց տալով : Ժ. Գլխացաւից, աչքի բոր- բոքումից, ականջի վժըժոցից ազատ մնալու Համար արևումը գլխաբաց չ'պիտի աշխատին: ԺԱ.Սուրաաւանդից (սքօրբութ) ա- զատ մնալու Համար չ'պիտի խմեն և ոչ կերակրումը բանացը- նեն երկար ժամանակ մէկտեղ կանգնած գբի ջուր. ուր գետ, կամ` աղբիւր չ'լինի, խորը Հորի ջուրը լաւ է: ԺԲ. Օդը խտակելու Համար պէտք է գիւղերումը շուկաների (քու. չայ) երկու կողմն էլ տնկել կեչի կամ` ուռի ծառեր, չորս, կամ` վեց քայլաչափ մէկը միւսից Հեռու: ԺԳ. խոնաւութենից (նամ`), դողացնելուց և ջրգողութենից պատրաստ մնալու Համար պէտք է փորեն առու տան և ծառերի բոլորքը, մանաւանդ էն տե- ղերումը, ուր բնակարանները փոս ընկած տեղ են շինած: ԺԴ. Փթած և տաքափոխիկ տենդից ազատ մնալու Համար, էնտեղ, ինչ տեղ մեռել դրած լինի, չ'պէտք է կրակ վառեն. դուռը և լուսամուտը բաց պահեն,քանի որ մեռելը էնտեղ է: ԺԵ. Փըղձ- կալուց ազատ մնալու Համար, եթէ երկար ժամանակով ծած- կած գետնափոր տեղեր և Հոր մտնել Հարկաւորի, պէտք է ա- ռաջ մէջը յարդի ծղօտով (դարման) կրակ տալ, որ թանձ- րացած օդը խտակուի և յետոյ մտնել: ԺԶ. ԵրկուՀոգիս կը- նիկը փոր աւերելուց ազատ մնալու Համար, չ'պիտի վեր կալնէ ծանր բան և չ'պիտի դուս թռչի որ և իցէ լէն տեղի և ա- ռուի վրով. ազատուելուց յետոյ, որպէս զի չ'ստանայ զաւա- կատան խէթք. և թուլութիւն, շուտով չ'պիտի աշխատանքի ձեռը տայ, մանաւանդ ծանր գործի, մինչև որ զօրութիւնը տեղը գայ: ԺԷ. Աղջկերքը առաջին անգամ` կնիկ արմատի կարգը տեսնելիս, կանացի ցաւերից ազատ մնալու Համար, պէտք է զգուշանան սառը ջրով լուացուելուց և մրսելուց :

[...when] sweat hath come from working, they must not instantly drink exceedingly cold water, but rather little by little, allowing intervals.
X. To remain free from headache, inflammation of the eyes, [and] buzzing of the ears, they must not work bareheaded in the sun.
XI. To remain free from scurvy (*sk‘ōrbut‘*), they must neither drink nor use in food puddle water that hath stood in one place for a long time; where there is no river or spring, water from a deep well is good.
XII. To purify the air, birch or willow trees must be planted in the villages on both sides of the market-streets (*k‘uch‘ay*), four or six paces distant from one another.
XIII. To remain secure against dampness (*nam*), the ague, and dropsy, they must dig a trench around the house and trees, especially in those places where the dwellings are built in hollow ground.
XIV. To remain free from putrid and intermittent fever, they must not light a fire in that place where a corpse hath been laid; they should keep the door and window open so long as the corpse is there.
XV. To remain free from suffocation, if it be necessary to enter dugouts and pits that have been covered for a long time, they must first make a fire inside with straw chaff (*darman*), so that the thickened air may be cleared, and enter thereafter.
XVI. A pregnant woman (*erkuhogis*), to remain free from miscarriage, must not lift a heavy thing and must not leap over any wide place or trench; after delivery, so that she may not contract spasm and weakness of the womb (*zawakatan*), she must not quickly put her hand to labor, especially to heavy work, until her strength returneth to its place.
XVII. When young girls first witness the course of the female nature, to remain free from women’s ailments, they must beware of washing with cold water and catching chill.
