մահուդի կտորով շուտ շուտ տրորէ ուռած և ցաւած տեղե- րը և տուր դեղ 65 համարաւ : Եթէ հիւանդը լինի անզօր, էն ժամանակը տուր դեղ 64 համարաւ, որ շատ օգտակար է։ Բ․ Եթէ արենախառն հազացնում է, ամէն երեկոյ հոքնայ տուր 20 կամ 21 համարի դեղով և երկու կամ երեք օրից յետոյ լուծելու դեղ տուր համարաւ 5, կամ 6, կամ 7, և կամ 8։ Գի- շերը պառկելու ժամանակը ոտները մինևի ծնկները տաք ջը- րումը դարսէ էնքան, որքան որ կարողանում է դիմանալ կամ մինչևի քրանիլը : Եթէ էս դեղերը գործ ածելով հիւանդը ոչինչ օգնութիւն չը զգայ, նստելու տեղի և ծննդական անդա- մի մէջը տեղը տզրուկ կպցնելու է վեց կամ տասը հատ, հի- ւանդի բնութեանը նայելով : 165․ Չէ հարկաւոր դեղեր գործ ածել կնիկարմատի ամ- սական հոսումը բաց անելու համար, երբ արգելման պատ- ճառն է երկուհոգսութիւնը, կամ երբ ամսական հոսումի կտրուիլը ոչ մի վնաս չէ տալի առողջութեանը, էսպէս սովո- րաբար պատապում է երկար ժամանակեայ հիւանդութենից, ծիծ տալուց և սաստիկ աշխատելուց : 164 Մէ անգամ կին մարդու լուսին չտեսնելը հաստատ չէ նշանակում, թէ յղութենից է պատճառած, այլ թէ որ կնի- կարմատը առողջ է և զօրեղ և ամէն անգամ իր ժամանակին լուսինը տեսել է իր կարգով ու յանկարծ կտրուել է ամսա- կան արեան հոսումը, և երկու կամ երեք անգամ իր ժամանակին կրկնուել է արեան հոսումի խափանիլը, ահա՛ էս միայն ըս- տոյգ նշան է յղութեան : 165․ Ինչ ժամանակ պատահի, որ կոյս աղջկան կամ կին մարդու լուսին տեսնելիս քիչ է գալիս արիւնը, էն էլ փորի և մէջքի սաստիկ ցաւելով, պէտք է տալ դեղ 66 համարաւ: Իսկ եթէ հիւանդը ունենայ ամուր կազմուածք և ըլի շատարիւն, ամսական հոսումի ժամանակն գալիս պէտք է կռնից արիւն թողնել։ Փորձով հաստատած է, որ էս միջոցը շատ է օգնում և հիւանդներին ազատում է սաստիկ և անհամբերելի ցաւե- րից: Եթէ հիւանդը փորակապութիւն ունենայ, գոնեա երկու օրը մէկ անգամ լուծելու դեղ տուր և դիր պտի փորի վրէն տաք ջրով լիքը եզան փամփուշտ, (փուչի) և շուտ շուտ փո-

Rub the swollen and pained places frequently with a piece of broadcloth and give medicine under number 65. If the patient be feeble, then give medicine under number 64, which is very beneficial.
B. If [the patient] coughs [with] blood-mixed [phlegm], give a clyster every evening with the medicine of number 20 or 21, and after two or three days give a laxative medicine under number 5, or 6, or 7, or 8. At night, when lying down to sleep, steep the legs up to the knees in hot water as long as [the patient] is able to endure, or until sweating. If upon using these medicines the patient feels no relief, six or ten leeches are to be applied between the fundament and the genital member, according to the patient’s constitution.
165. It is not necessary to use medicines to open the monthly flow of a woman when the cause of the stoppage is pregnancy, or when the cessation of the monthly flow causes no harm to the health; this usually occurs after long illness, from wet-nursing, and from severe labor.

A woman’s missing her period once does not definitely signify that it is caused by pregnancy; but if the woman is healthy and strong, and has always had her period regularly in its due time, and the monthly flow of blood has suddenly stopped, and the interruption of the flow of blood has recurred at its due time two or three times, behold, this alone is a certain sign of pregnancy.
165. Whenever it occurs that during the period of a virgin girl or a married woman the blood comes sparsely, and that with severe aching of the belly and back, one must give medicine under number 66. But if the patient should have a robust constitution and be plethoric, when the time of the monthly flow arrives blood must be let from the arm. It is confirmed by experience that this remedy helps greatly and delivers patients from severe and unbearable pains. If the patient has constipation, give a laxative medicine at least once every two days, and upon the lower belly must be placed an ox bladder (*pʻuchʻi*) filled with hot water, and frequently cha- [nge it]...
