The signs of the *Aghekits* [visceral/wasting] disease are: when the color of the face is faded or jaundiced; yellow, red, or livid spots break out upon the body and especially upon the legs; and when the gums are swollen and bleed. 124. *Suravand* [scurvy] manifests itself by these signs: first of all, the complexion changes, then the visage swells; likewise the color of the lips and gums fades or turns livid.
