Հիւանդութիւնը երկարի, դժուարանում է էնքան, որ Հիւանդը չի կարողանում` երկար պառկած կենալ և նստելիս միայն կա- րում է փոքր Հանգստութիւն ունենալ: Մաջի քցելը Հետ- զՀետէ նուազում է և վերջը Համարեա թէ դժուարութեամբ է ջոգուում, երեսաՀարքը և ձեռները կապտանում` և ոտները սառչում են. էս նշաններիցը երևումէ, որ Հիւանդը վաղ վիճա- կի մէջ է։ 71. Էս ցաւը առաւել նրանց է պատաՀում, որոնք թուլա- մորթ աւիշկային (Limfa) կազմուածքի տէր են, կամ` ծեր են : Լուս ընկնելու ժամանակն է աշունքուան, ձմեռուան և գարուն- քուան խոնաւ (նամ`) եղանակներումը. առաւելապէս բռնը- ւում են նրանք, որոնք սրան յարմար կազմուածք ունին կամ` որոնք երկար ժամանակ կենում են խոնաւ օդի մէջ . (և դրա- նից պակասում է սովորական քրտնքի գալն). կամ` որոնք գը- նում են քամու դիմացը, կամ` բարձր ձայնով երգում են կամ` Հարբած պառկում` են բաց օդումը : 72. Վերևի գրածներից յայտնի երևում` է, որ էս Հի- ւանդութիւնը գալիս է Համարեա թէ խառն և դժուար ջոգ- ուող նշաններով, ևս առաւել՝ երբ էս ցաւով բռնուում` են տկար կազմուածք ունեցողները և ծերերը : Եթէ սկզբիցը Հի- ւանդին կանոնաւոր ճանապարՀով չեն Հոգս տանիլ, էս Հի- ւանդութիւնը երկիւղալի կըլինի. ուրեմն պէտք է առանց ու- շացնելու դեղ անեն էսպէս: Ա․ Արիւն թողնելը վնաս է քան թէ օգուտ. բայց երբ Հիւանդի կուրծքը ափած է և շունչ քաշելը դժուար, միայն էս ժամանակը շաՀեկան է արիւն թող- նելը : Բ. Եթէ Հիւանդը չունի սրտի խառնուիլ, էն ժամանակը մաղասը իստակելու Համար պէտք է Հոգնայ տալ ինչպէս որ գրած է 20, կամ` 21 Համարումը : Բայց եթէ Հիւանդը ըզ- գում է սրտի խառնուիլ՝ բերնի դառնութիւն և վատ Համ`, օրցկում` է, և լեզուն պատած ունի դեղին մաղձով, առանց ուշացնելու պէտք է տալ բերանիցը բանացնելու դեղ Համա- րաւ 1, կամ` 2, կամ` 3, կամ` 4. Շատ շուտ պէտք է խմացնեն Հիւանդին կաթնաղոլ շայ Համարաւ 31, կամ` 32 : Դ. Եթէ Հի- ւանդը շատ սուստ ըլի, պէտք է կպցնեն ոտների ձուկ մսերի վրէն 23 Համարաւ դեղը և վարուին էնպէս, ինչպէս գրած է

[If] the illness protracts, it becomes so difficult that the sick person cannot remain lying down for long, and only while sitting can he have a little rest. The pulse [literally: cast of the wrist] gradually diminishes and at the end is distinguished almost with difficulty; the facial features and the hands turn blue, and the feet grow cold. From these signs it appears that the patient is in a grave condition.
71. This pain [or malady] happens mostly to those who possess a flaccid lymphatic (*Limfa*) constitution, or are old. Its time of outbreak is in the damp (*nam*) seasons of autumn, winter, and spring. Those are especially seized who have a constitution suited to this, or who remain for a long time in damp air (and from this the usual coming of sweat is decreased), or who walk facing into the wind, or sing in a loud voice, or lie down drunk in the open air.
72. From what is written above it appears clearly that this illness comes on with almost mixed and hard-to-distinguish signs, and all the more so when those possessing a feeble constitution and the elderly are seized with this ailment. If from the beginning they do not care for the patient in a regular [or proper] way, this illness will be perilous. Therefore, without delaying, they must administer medicine thus:
A. Bloodletting is [more] harmful than beneficial; but when the patient’s chest is choked [or congested] and drawing breath is difficult, only at this time is bloodletting advantageous.
B. If the patient does not have nausea [literally: churning of the heart/stomach], at that time, in order to cleanse the bowels [or corrupt humors], one must give an enema just as is written under Number 20 or 21. But if the patient feels nausea, bitterness and a bad taste in the mouth, eructates [or belches], and has his tongue coated with yellow bile, without delaying one must give an oral purging medicine under Number 1, or 2, or 3, or 4. Very soon they must make the patient drink *kat‘naghol shay* [milk-whey tea?] under Number 31 or 32.
D. [mislettered for C.] If the patient is very weak [or collapsed], they must apply onto the calves of the legs [literally: the fish-meats of the feet] the medicine under Number 23 and proceed just as is written...
