...[the instructed] may be exhorted unto true conduct—which is the glory of teachers—to walk in the paths of the righteous, to meditate upon the commandments of the Lord, and to guide [others] into the conduct of luminous teaching and into all righteousness. That He may make all men heirs to the kingdom of God, to be co-workers with the life-giving Evangelical counsel, and in no way to transgress the true traditions. For "whosoever shall offend in one point, he is guilty of all the law" (James ii. 10); so that those confirmed in faith and cleansed in conscience from evils may ever be drawn near to the Body and Blood of the Lord, having received Christ in the inner man, Who enlighteneth the saints with the pure and spotless counsels of holy love, [and] with spiritual and corporeal healing from the All-Holy Trinity forever. Here the indisputable sentence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is manifestly predicated of the writer of the aforementioned slander, that: "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned" (Matt. xii. 35–37). What shall we name the author of the above-written differ...
