CHAPTER VI: Rule[s] for Eating Food.

a. When you are to sit at table, wash your hands; and until one who is greater than you has sat, do not sit; and see to it that you sit at the lower places. b. After the blessing of the table, wait until one who is greater than you puts forth his hand to the food, and then you too may put forth your hand.
