CHAPTER V: Rules for Sitting [and] Standing.

Whatever word your superior, or your parents, or your master may say to you, keep [it] well in your mind; and whatever they have said, speak the very same, [and] mix in nothing of your own. But if you happen upon a time of anger, and one of the two parties should utter an evil and ignoble word, or cast an insult, do not repeat it; but relate only the essential and necessary word[s], lest you should cast discord or enmity between them.
